National law firm is seeking a Director of Knowledge Management Its a new appointment and can be based in Bristol or Birmingham.
A strategic role which will require vision, proven track record of success within the knowledge management arena, preferably gained within another law firm, and also experience of working alongside business development. There will also be the usual day to day activities, and management of the PSL team. The successful candidate will have considerable experience of IT systems, and experience of working alongside business development.
The role reports directly to the Board and is seen as a key appointment to take the business forward.
The successful Director of Knowledge Management will be educated to at least degree level with an appropriate post degree qualification in a professional discipline; a legal qualification is desirable but not essential. Likely to be a senior, highly regarded manager who has demonstrated a capacity for managing change programmes or for managing sensitive projects, sound experience of the legal or professional services field is essential, and previous experience of leading the devleopment of a knowledge or information culture in another organisation is required.
