About you:

We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in litigation to join our Dispute Resolution team in Melbourne.

Supporting 1 Senior Associate and 2 Solicitors, you will provide a range of secretarial and administrative support including document preparation and management, administration and billing.

The role will be challenging and demanding but highly rewarding, and will use the skills of someone who is resourceful, energetic, and who has a good understanding of the variety of secretarial tasks that will need to be provided.

Your day will involve:

- managing and maintaining files
- preparing documents (e.g. submissions, further and better particulars, defences, witness statements, affidavits, complaints, agreements etc)
- processing of monthly client bills
- organising meetings and coordinating travel
- liaising with clients.

You will have:

- minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
- intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs
- previous litigation experience
- excellent attention to detail and prioritising skills
- recognised experience in a similar environment.
