Founded in 2002, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre is a commodity market place based in Dubai providing world class industry specific market infrastructure and a full range of facilities to the gold, precious metals, diamonds, coloured stones, energy and other commodities industries. The business has grown significantly since inception establishing Dubai as a global commodity centre.
Due to the success of the business and increasing demands on the legal division, the need has now arisen for an experienced banking & finance lawyer to join the established legal team based in the centre of Dubai. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the appointee will provide commercial legal advice on banking, finance and fund related matters to DMCCs gold, diamond and commodities departments. For this position, it is anticipated that you will be a 4-6 years UK PQE (or equivalent) lawyer and will be currently working in the corporate practice of an international law firm.
The successful candidate will have strong experience of securities law and a good knowledge of FSA and SEC rules and regulations. It would be ideal if the applicant has Exchange Traded Fund and/or Hedge Fund experience and has worked previously with investment banks and/or futures exchanges. You will be expected to be hands on and be comfortable working within a multi-cultural environment.
This is a very attractive and challenging in house role within a high profile institution in the United Arab Emirates and will offer an excellent tax free package. Previous working experience of the Middle East and the ability to speak Arabic are not required for this role.
