JOB SUMMARY:
To work to achieve a high quality and efficient Document Production service to Partners and Associates. To also manage the day to day running of the DPC and be responsible for the smooth running of the day and evening shift. This role will also oversee the Float secretarial Team and Proof Readers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document Production Service
• Conduct a thorough audit of the DPC department. Make recommendations on how the department can best serve the business, and help with the implementation of any changes.
• Manage the day to day running of the department, dealing with staff, clients and distribution of work.
Management of the Team
• Management of the Document Production Specialists in the Team:
• Identify and record unplanned absence, which requires immediate cover. Make recommendations for long term cover, and how the department would be better resourced.
• Identify and deal with any staff related issues including: performance, attendance, time-keeping and training needs. Working with Human Resources, to ensure any issues are dealt with fairly and within good time.
• Sickness Absence - Conduct Return to Work interviews, in accordance with the Firm’s Absence policy. Escalate any more serious issues to HR.
• Provide guidance and assistance to Document Production Specialists to ensure the smooth running of the department.
• Provide guidance and assistance to new starters within the DPC.
• To assist in the recruitment process by attending interviews with the Human Resources Department
• To produce monthly figures for the DPC Manager (based in Sheffield) as requested.
