A leading Telecommunications company based in Newbury is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer. This is a 6 month contract requiring someone for two days a week, ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ideally you will have strong working experience of employment law either in house or private practice.
This person will be responsible for working with the HR Business Partners and internal managers to offer legal advice. They will also be required to work with an external litigation company to prepare for tribunals. This person will be part of a 20 strong legal team and will be required to work on their own initiative. Therefore experience of advising large employers in a timely and commercially aware manner with ability to quickly assimilate the key issues of a scenario and advise on the spot. Competent written and oral communication skills with clear ability to develop concise logical legal advice. And to effectively communicate advice, often in lay terms to the business.
