Employment Lawyer, London - Job Description

Bevan Brittan’s Employment team works across the spectrum of contentious and non-contentious issues, providing clients with practical, cost effective support and advice grounded in the real world.
We act for a range of internationally-known private sector clients including telecoms providers, media organisations and financial services groups. We have been involved in some of the most high-profile employment law cases in recent years; often at the cutting edge of employment law.
In the public sector, we have been at the forefront of recent equal pay issues, both in the NHS and local government nationally.

The Role:
This is an opportunity to become a core member of this successful team and will provide scope to tackle a variety of contentious and non contentious matters. You could be advising clients on complex strategic issues such as redundancy/reorganisations and TUPE as well as operational matters such as the management of tribunal claims and disciplinary and grievance hearings.

The Individual:

You will need a solid grounding in Employment, working in the private sector. You should have a passion for building close client relationships as well as being a strong team player, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels. Some exposure to immigration law could also be of interest.

Other core skills required include:
• An ability to understand and relate to clients’ needs, showing sympathy and empathy when necessary.
• Priority and time management skills.
• Flexible approach.
• Organised, with lateral thinking skills and an eye for detail.
