There is currently an opportunity for a European Counsel to work with the groups investment funds team, currently comprised of 5 lawyers from mixed European backgrounds, to provide support to the fund business in Europe including: Luxembourg, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Munich, Zurich, Rome, Milan and, of course, London.

The successful candidate will be afforded the unique opportunity to represent the European legal department in all Fund related projects as well as be responsible for the fund range in Europe from a legal perspective and oversight of the groups fund doiciles in Europe. This role will also provide fund specific legal advice on the set up of new funds, the structuring of UCITS III compliant vehicles, on cross border distribution including registration and maintenance.

Applicants will ideally have strong technical as well as negotiating skills and be able to quickly build good working relationships with a wide variety of people in various jurisdictions. Fluent English is a prerequisite and fluency in another European language would certainly be advantageous. Candidates should have work experience in a top continental firm or a large financial institution, and have a solid funds background.
