Experienced IP Lawyer (Non Contentious)

My client, a dynamic Nottingham-based firm, is looking for an experienced non-contentious IP lawyer to join its busy and expanding Business Services team. The Business Services team advises clients on a wide range of commercial contracts including agency, distribution and franchise agreements, sale of goods, provision of services, consultancy, confidentiality / non-disclosure, IT and e-commerce, IP protection and licensing, outsourcing, R&D and technology transfer. The team also advises clients on competition law, data protection, Freedom of Information Act issues. The team has significant experience in advising telecoms companies and businesses operating in the IT sector and its clients include a number of design agencies and other organisations from the creative industries.
The role will involve advising on all matters involving the creation, identification, protection, prosecution and commercialisation of intellectual property rights. You will be experienced in advising clients in relation to patents, copyright, trademarks and design rights, and drafting, negotiating and advising on confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, software licenses, IP licenses, research and development agreements and technology transfer agreements. Your experience means that you are a confident self starter able to handle such matters with minimal supervision. You are likely to have at least 4 years’ PQE.
Familiarity with IP issues in creative industries, life sciences or TMT sectors would be an advantage.
