Finance Services NQ

Working with Tony Woodward, the Financial Services Team undertakes a variety of contentious and non-contentious work for clients of varying size within the Financial Services sector such as insurers, friendly societies, independent financial advisers and distributors notably the Post Office. The emphasis is on the sale of retail products to consumers. The successful candidate will be involved in FSA regulatory work including applications for authorisation, financial promotions, product distribution, Ombudsman cases and disciplinary hearings as well as some sector related commercial work including the provision of advice on the marketing of financial services products, data protection and the internet. The team also works closely with other teams such as professional Indemnity, retail and corporate finance.

There is no need for candidates to have experienced a seat within a commercial team but an interest in this rapidly changing area of retail financial services will be desirable as well as an ability to analyse complex FSA rules and concepts.
