Financial Markets Lawyer - Sydney

Our client, a leading provider of a full range of investment markets and retail financial services, is seeking to grow one of their leading legal teams.

Several positions exist for lawyers with a minimum of three years experience within the financial markets and/or commercial legal in-house or private practice environment. Both Associates and Senior Associates will be considered, with particular interest in those with structured and complex derivatives, retail and wholesale securitisation, structured capital markets and debt capital markets transactions experience.

As a member of this supportive team you will draft and negotiate contracts and documentation to support business activities whilst providing strategic corporate and commercial advice in the areas of physical commodities trading and financial products to the trading business in both domestic and off shore markets.

The successful candidates will work closely with senior members of the legal risk management group of this leading investment bank and other relevant business areas to assist in the documentation of existing and new business and product structures.

This is an exciting opportunities for lawyers with a high academic record and solid experience within the Financial Markets field. Those with excellent communication skills and strong research, written and negotiation skills will be highly considered.
