POSITION
As legal counsel, the candidate will be responsible for the provision of legal advice and services on asset funds
Working closely with the operational teams on clients such as institutional investors and high net worth individuals ,
- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Securities Law, Fund and Regulatory Work
Provision of legal advice in relation to the structuring, establishment, listing, administration and distribution of investment products, including the preparation and legal review of prospectuses, marketing and other operational and support materials for retail and institutional promotion of products and the drafting of trading, investment management, administrative, distribution agreements and other support documentation.
Ongoing legal support to the Management in relation to business and operational issues, including advising on fund matters, trading and investment management and local and global distribution arrangements anti-money laundering regulations, obtaining and maintaining authorization for Group companies to conduct investment business. Advising on implementation of passporting regimes, registration with local regulators and advising on local conduct of business rules and regulatory issues.
Commercial Law
Preparation and review of sales and distribution agreements and local pro forma Terms of Business for the sale of products and services. Review of commercial agreements, supply contracts and third party pro forma documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTITUDE:
Committed, professional, responsible and conscientious approach to all tasks.
Proven legal knowledge and experience in investment business. Familiar with securities, fund solutions, discretionary mandates ot structured products.
Ability to deliver clear, accurate and relevant legal advice to the Group in the business context. Pro-active, analytical and clear thinking problem solving abilities.
Flexibility to work within an attractive, dynamic and challenging environment.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should be a qualified lawyer from either private practice or a similar in-house institution with 4-6 years experience.
