General Counsel, Global Finance Company, 6+ pqe - Job Description
Our client is a world leader in the provision of stock and receivables finance, asset-based lending and aviation finance. Its clientele comprises dealerships, manufacturers and distributors in a range of different industries. The European subsidiary has recently been established with a remit to generate business throughout Western Europe. The business is now at a critical growth phase, in the process of obtaining authorisation from the Financial Services Authority and requires an experienced lawyer to join the management team in order to help facilitate the ambitious growth plans and drive the strategy, notably cross-border expansion.
The primary focus of the business will be short-term stock/receivables finance, with a subsequent additional focus on aircraft financing.
Reporting to the European CEO, you will have at least 5 years' pqe and knowledge of asset-based lending and structuring working-capital transactions. Prior regulatory experience, exposure to bank passporting, or short-term financing in other EU/EEA member states, would be a distinct advantage.
Currently working either in private practice or in-house, you will be hands-on with highly effective communication skills, combined with a desire to make a direct impact on a fast growing business.
