In House - Commercial Lawyer - Surrey - Job Description
Our client is a leading company within the IT sector. They are now looking for an in - house Legal Counsel
(1-3 yrs pqe) to work as part of a small legal team and report to Senior Counsel / GC in an exciting commercial and role. You will identify legal risk by providing legal support to the business. As such you will be very close to decision making and there is great future scope. The purpose of the position is to provide support on general commercial legal issues such as IT/IP matters and commercial contracts.
The successful candidate will be a solicitor with experience in the above areas. You will ideally have some in house experience with a large organisation. Alternatively, if you are the right candidate, this may be your ideal first move in-house.
You will need to quickly understand the business, its strategies, its people and its organisational structures as well as having a commercial 'spark'.
