Minter Ellison's employment and industrial relations group has grown from a leading Australian practice to one with a global presence. Taking a pragmatic approach, our team of more than 100 lawyers blends practical legal advice and commercial awareness with a strong understanding of clients' business objectives.
With increasing demand in the market for expert employment advice and assistance, our HR & IR team is seeking a further two lawyers at the 2 - 4 year level to work on a broad range of matters across the group. Our expertise includes:
-Occupation, health & safety issues – responsibilities in the workplace
-Industrial relations – strategies to minimise industrial conflict
-Executive remuneration – appointment and compensation
-Individual grievances – cost-sensitive commercial outcomes
-Anti-discrimination – discrimination, sexual harassment and unfair dismissal
-Superannuation – member complaints, fund mergers, conversion to accumulation funds and member transfers resulting from M&A.
You will enjoy the support and friendship of partners Dan Williams and Trent Forno as they assist you in shaping your career with Minter Ellison. With fortnightly industry specific CLE's and regular weekly meetings to ensure an allocation of work that is both even and tailored towards your interests, this is a rare opportunity not to be missed. To be successful in securing this fantastic role, you will have:
At least 2 - 4 years of solid employment experience with a reputable firm;
An enthusiastic and self-starter approach to your work;
Great drafting skills;
Some litigation, Tribunal or Commission experience; and
Ideally a keen interest in occupational health and safety
