This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor to join a growing, thriving organisation in the role of Debt Recovery Solicitor. With over 400 outlets UK wide the company is described as a ‘success story' due to its impressive financial achievement and continued expansion.
This is a diverse and challenging in-house position where the successful applicant will be responsible for a litigation team of 23 fee earners who need motivating and managing effectively on a daily basis. The role will involve managing, targeting and training members of the litigation team to effectively collect debt as well as the continual review and improvement of the company's litigation processes. In addition, you will personally be responsible for the more complex and technical debt collection matters, as well as transacting some commercial and corporate work.
This position would suit a solicitor with 3+ years' pqe with a background in either civil or commercial litigation. You must have an excellent understanding of debt recovery procedures coupled with some general commercial contract or corporate experience.
Ideally, you will have some experience of day-to-day management responsibility, although this is by no means essential. You will be looking to make a long-term commitment to the company, investing time in training the more inexperienced members of staff and developing new working systems to improve efficiency of the department as a whole.
