The position will have responsibility for ensuring effective environmental governance of the water and waste activities of Severn Trent and advancing best practice in health and safety management. A qualified solicitor, the ideal candidate will have significant experience of dealing with contentious and non-contentious environmental legal issues. Commercially astute, the successful applicant will ideally have some knowledge of planning law as well as an understanding of the legal framework controlling carbon emissions.
Experience of the law relating to the disposal of hazardous waste would be an advantage.
You will make a huge contribution from the start – providing expert advice across the business.
