In-House Lawyer- Corporate/ Commercial/ Investments- 1+ PQE, Glasgow
Leading UK organisation with a respected in-house legal team is looking to appoint an additional in-house lawyer/ solicitor to work on general commercial matters in addition to advising UK clients on investment matters.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to make their first move in-house. A diverse caseload of work is on offer in addition to a challenging and supportive working environment.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Legal and will undertake a innovative role which will include providing legal advice on the following:

•Managing and developing new and existing client relationships with a range of high-profile UK companies;
•Undertaking detailed due diligence on clients and providing legal support and advice on corporate acquisitions and investments;
•Attending client meetings and advising on the company's business products and providing legal review of business proposals;
•Provide general corporate/ commercial advice across the business group;
•General investment advice, review of legal documentation and procedures;
•Dealing with external counsel, and working with investors across the UK;
•Transactional corporate advice- working on initial set up of M&A deals and ensuring compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a solid corporate/ commercial background with experience or genuine interest in investments. Candidates from commercial, corporate or banking backgrounds are invited to apply. Experience of M&A, banking with a focus on loans and equity of funds would be an advantage for this role but not essential.
