A leading Dubai investment banking group is seeking to recruit two lawyers to work closely with its Western-qualified General Counsel.

Millennium Finance Corporation (MFC) has one of the largest investment banking teams in the region. MFC is headquartered in The Gate Building in the DIFC, and specialises in cross border M&A and equity capital markets, particularly in the energy, telecoms, and general industrial sectors. In line with the success of the business to date, a further Western-educated junior corporate/commercial lawyer with at least two years’ experience is sought to bolster the legal team.

You will work closely with the General Counsel on a varied and busy daily workload. You will gain excellent hands-on experience with all manner of contracts and international legal queries and concerns, often under pressure of time. You will also assist with company secretarial and regulatory issues, and manage external lawyers in many jurisdictions.

Millennium Private Equity (MPE) is a Fund Manager also headquartered in the DIFC. It now runs three investment funds in telecoms and energy, and is growing both its portfolio of funds and investee companies. The business now seeks to establish an in-house legal capability to support the fund managers and requires an experienced transactional corporate/M&A lawyer, ideally with four to six years’ experience and exposure to private equity or funds law, who will demonstrate a mature and credible liaison with the business.

For both positions, you will have strong academics and a solid legal training. Your energy, credibility and a robust approach will be critical, as will your ability to learn and to take responsibility in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment.
