Junior Systems Support Analyst - Birmingham - Job Description
Main purpose of the job:
To be part of a team within the Finance department supporting the various technical aspects of the IT and Finance related systems.
Working primarily with the other members of the team and the Finance Department’s “front end” users, as well as with the IT department. Our practice management system is CMS.Net, which integrates with Carpe Diem time recording and a number of additional products familiar to the legal market such as Interwoven and Interaction, as well as in-house databases and feeds.
Key responsibilities:
• Assist with administration of the Finance systems and interfaces to 3rd party systems
• Administration of e-billing & e-commerce processes & provide support to Commercial Finance with set-up activities for firm clients
• Data updates/extraction as required
• Liaison with IT and third parties re disaster recovery
• Development of new interfaces with Finance systems as required
• Provide assistance with planned upgrades
• Provide technical support on use of the Finance system to internal clients.
• Provide support for users
• Ensure accurate documentation
• Involvement in delivery of Finance systems projects as required
• Provide support for the system aspects of Month/Year End
• Support finance transaction processes via system/process customisation.
• Any other ad-hoc task as required by Finance Dept. management.
