LexisNexis Butterworths law reporters are on the cutting edge of the Law, and provide LexisNexis Butterworths with up to date and knowledgeable reportage of the daily business of the High Court, Court of Appeal, House of Lords and European Courts which feeds into our prestigious online and hardcopy publications such as the All England Law Reports. We are currently recruiting for a Law Reporter to join our Primary Sources Digests team to cover assigned courts in an efficient manner and prepare case digests to a high standard for supply to LexisNexis online services and print products.
Key Result Areas
Attending assigned courts to collect required information. Arrange additional coverage during the day as required to record court hearings effectively.
Take notes on ex tempore judgments and collect handed-down judgments ensuring comprehensive coverage.
To provide a point of contact with Courts, Judges and Practitioners.
Drafting clear and concise case digests that accurately reflect the judgment of the court within agreed timescales
Copy-editing digests to agreed standard and checking that all case/statutory references and representation details are correct
Assisting in identification of cases for reporting
Key Requirements
Will require professional legal qualifications: likely to be Bar.
Must have ability to analyse judgments and prepare a concise and accurate summary of the law and facts.
Will also need a close eye for detail.
