As a Lexcel accredited team committed to achieving continuous improvement, and to ensuring our clients receive a high quality, cost effective service, we wish to recruit four versatile and enthusiastic Lawyers with a “can do” approach to join us. Three of these positions are new posts due to the service’s expanding workload. The Legal Services team provides a comprehensive range of legal support to the Council, and the duties of each post will vary according to the demands of a very busy office. The team is divided into four sub-teams according to the areas of work primarily undertaken and is located in high specification, modern accommodation with other key Council services.
The Property and Procurement team provides legal advice in property/development, planning, project support and contract related transactions, particularly relating to tendering and the European procurement regime. The post will involve key contract and procurement support to the Council’s strategic and regeneration projects, as well as provision of support in these areas to all client services. Applicants should have experience of commercial contract and procurement work, and be able to work independently as well as part of a project team. Prior experience in commercial property and construction contracts is an advantage.
