The role is intriguing as it will allow you to see the results of your work; whether in a new power station, a railway structure or even something as important as a hospital. My client, a leading international practice, is looking to recruit an associate within a broad PQE range to join their award winning commercial team based in Leeds. They have a very healthy pipeline and so the complexity of work that you will be involved with depends very much on the level you are.

They have a truly global reach and can differentiate themselves from their competitors in the region, working primarily with Blue Chip clients; often with a cross border aspect. The work that they do is primarily big ticket commercial contracts, and IT - along with some projects work. The work is London quality, and they work with many of the regions largest banks and retailers, and are chosen to lead on some of their largest commercial projects, and exciting IT projects for new technology.

You will be a solicitor with some commercial experience, ideally gained at a top city or regional law firm, but they will consider those from industry, if you can demonstrate the right level of experience. You will be encouraged to have client contact, and business develop at all levels - they have an excellent retention rate, testament to the emphasis that they put on team culture and developing junior members of staff. This would suit a local person, perhaps looking for some more international exposure, and also a London relocator that has ties to Yorkshire, and wants to continue with the quality of work that they have become accustomed to.

Please contact Ryan Kerr from G2 Legal to discuss in more detail.

Solicitor required for the Infrastructure Projects and Energy team of this leading, international commercial practice. Based in Leeds.

The firm, a recognised UK practice is seeking to appoint a solicitor to join the infrastructure, projects and energy team in Leeds.

The team advises on innovative, complex projects, which are frequently in the headlines. Our client is a high profile technology driven business in Leeds which has had exceptional growth in recent years. The mid-sized legal team is highly regarded and well integrated into the organisation. This growth is set to continue and has driven the need to hire a skilled lawyer to join the team in a part time capacity to work in a PSL role, supporting the Senior Lawyers.

Youll get involved in establishing new standard terms and conditions, and investigating non-standard legal contracts to assess compliance and regulatory issues involved.

They require an experienced commercial solicitor (minimum 3 years pqe) who has a pragmatic and commercial outlook and who can advise on contractual issues (commercial / IP / IT). Ideally you will have some in house experience, but this is not essential, but you must have a strong contracts background, ideally gained from a recognised commercial law firm. This role may suit some one who is experienced and wants to work fewer hours, or a child carer who is looking for a part time role with flexibility.

This is a great opportunity to work within an established in house team in a part time capacity. Please get in contact if you would like to discuss further.
