This strategic role is also hands on in terms of day-to-day advice both in resolving problems and developing policy.

The ideal candidate will be a solicitor or barrister with either public or private sector experience but with a clear understanding of the legal basis for the operation of a public sector body. Specific experience of public law together with the ability and confidence to provide legal advice across a range of disciplines will be required. An interest in gambling law would be an advantage.
