The successful applicant will report to the Chief Operating Officer who also acts as head of legal and operational affairs. The position supports the business units with all their commercial work, covering the U.K and Europe, including negotiating complex software license and other agreements. You will also support the business in ad-hoc legal matters, which will include HR, IP, and contentious matters though previous experience in these areas is not necessary.
Due to the nature of the role any interested parties must have legal experience ideally gained as a corporate lawyer within a top city or magic circle practice. In addition applicants must have an excellent academic background, while licensing experience is extremely helpful though not a necessary requirement. Candidates must have a high degree of comfort with business transactions in a fast paced environment, must be a self-starter able to work independently, and must have strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
