Legal Secretary - Job Description
My client is one of the largest law firms in the Midlands with regional and national reach through its offices in the Midlands and London.

They currently require a Legal Secretary to work within their Restructuring department.
The role is to assist in the efficient and effective coordination of the workflow of the Restructuring department as well as being expected to assist with peaks of workload and cover for the divisional co-ordinator.
Person Specification
1.Experience
1.1.Legal secretarial experience, within a commercial environment, is preferred.
1.2.Previous experience of working in a client focused environment is advantageous.
1.3.Will be used to using own initiative whilst maintaining a positive team spirit at all times
2.Technical Skills
2.1.Fast and accurate audio typing skills, minimum of 65 wpm
2.2.Ability to liaise with internal and external clients in a professional and efficient manner; answering queries in the absence of fee earner.
2.3.Sound understanding of legal procedures.
2.4.Will have excellent IT skills and advanced Word/Office skills thereby being able to format and produce lengthy documents and agreements
2.5.Experience of using a document management system is desirable.
3.Personal Attributes
3.1.Attention to detail and accuracy is essential as is speed and accuracy
3.2.Used to managing own and colleague's schedule
3.3.Proactive, professional and flexible approach to work.
3.4.Adopts a common sense approach with attention to detail.
3.5.Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload
