To support our North Sea and international activities, we have an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute lawyer to manage the legal function at our Aberdeen headquarters.

The appointed candidate, who will also become company secretary, will be responsible for dealing with all CNR International's legal matters and for overseeing the in-house legal department.

The key responsibilities are:

• Legal representative on all M&A and asset transactions
• Oversee legal aspects of contracts with providers
• Support commercial colleagues and participate in the negotiation of transactions and agreements
• Manage in-house legal advisers and support staff.

Candidates must be qualified lawyers experienced within an E&P environment. This may have been gained either with an upstream oil company, service company or private practice. We are looking for strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills and the ability to manage staff. You should also be an effective communicator and polished presenter.

The appointed candidate must be a motivated self-starter, have a challenging approach and be achievement orientated. Some overseas travel will be necessary.
