Ashurst's Litigation Department are looking for a paralegal to work with team specialising in proceedings brought under the Companies Act 1985 and Financial Services & Markets Act 2000. Work undertaken by team includes schemes of arrangement under Section 425 of the Companies Act 1985, reductions of capital and banking and insurance business transfers under Part 7 of the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of both corporate transactions and litigation.
This role will include:
1. Assisting with preparation of witness statements and other court documentation.
2. Carrying out company searches, reading and analysing search results.
3. Preparing capital histories of companies.
4. Preparing profiles of companies.
5. Preparing court bundles.
6. Collating and updating transaction bibles.
7. Liaising with court and Companies House.

Qualifications required:
You must have a 2.1 in your undergraduate degree and completed the LPC/BVC. Some knowledge of accounting would also be advantageous.
Previous relevant experience or a genuine interest in this area of law is desirable.
