LITIGATION PARALEGAL - 3 MONTH CONTRACT - Job Description

We are looking for a paralegal to work in our Litigation department with a team of partners, associates, trainees and other paralegals on a specific litigation matter.

Ashurst is recognised as having a leading commercial litigation practice across Europe. Commercial disputes are at the heart of our litigation practice, and over the years we have acted for many leading international companies in complex disputes across all industry sectors.

The position will principally involve reviewing and coding electronically a large number documents for relevance to the case, privilege and confidentiality. We will provide you with training and a coding guide to assist you with this task. You will receive support from the other team members at all times.

Further tasks will include:

Filing correspondence on a daily basis in hard-copy and electronic files.

Updating a chronology of correspondence in conjunction with filing.

Compiling bundles for court hearings, witness statements and chronologies of events.

Assisting in drafting chronologies of events in conjunction with document review.

Assisting the team in locating documents when requested.

Assisting the team with the disclosure process.

We are looking for someone who has a 2.1 in their Law degree (or equivalent) and has completed either the LPC or BVC. Ideally the successful candidate will have prior Litigation paralegal experience.
