Loan Markets Group - Leveraged Finance Associate

The International Finance department contains sub-groups which specialise in securities and structured finance and Loan Markets group which encompasses Leveraged finance and Real estate finance.

There is close interaction with the banking groups in Ashurst's European and other Overseas offices.

Ashurst has a substantial banking and securities capability. The international finance practice area provides expert advice on a wide range of banking and securities related transactions.

The leveraged finance group acts predominantly on the lender side of finance deals but also has a strong borrower practice, in view of the strength of the Corporate departments private equity client base. Its focus is on leveraged acquisition.

A substantial proportion of the practice area's work is of an international nature. The firm acts for leading international investment and commercial banks as well as for substantial corporate borrowers and issuers.

The international finance practice area is one of the market leaders in leveraged finance. It has advised on the structuring and implementation of numerous transactions of both a cross-border and a domestic nature. Transaction types include buy-outs, buy-ins, bid financing and private financing. The practice area regularly acts for the institutions who themselves are market leaders in the provision of both debt and equity funding for these types of transactions.

Working with the market leaders in European leveraged finance, the ideal candidate will support partners on large transactions and mid-ranking assistants will be expected to run smaller transactions. Opportunity for as much client involvement as candidate likes.

As a firm, Ashurst has the third highest number of publicly quoted clients in the UK. Additionally, it also acts for many large unquoted plcs and private companies and foreign corporations from around the globe. Some examples:
