Marketing Assistant - Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
* To promote the firm to become the leader in the market place by organising promotional events, preparing articles for the firm's magazines and external press and publication, making use of the marketing budget
* To work in accordance with the Quality Manual
* To act at all times in an appropriate way as an employee of a professional practice
* Work with Department Heads and the Managing Partner to develop and implement departmental and firm wide marketing strategies
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deal with routine telephone calls from Agencies, newspapers, magazines etc
* Liaise with outside contractors, e.g. designers
* Organise promotional events e.g. seminars, client entertaining functions
* Source and approve venues for the above
* Improve networking capabilities of the Firm
* Attend meetings and events which are out of hours as required
* Deal with mailshots / running of TFB database
* Deal with the firm's magazines and periodicals, e.g. 'To the Point'. Medical Negligence Newsletter
* Keep the website up to date - modernising the pages, adding and checking profiles etc
* Ensure information on the Firm held by external parties is kept up to date
* Monitor and look after the marketing budget for the firm as a whole and the individual departments
* Any other relevant tasks in this area
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* A good command of written English and sound literacy skills
* Ability to be creative and ability to think up novel ideas and suggestions
* Ability to socialise and mix at functions
* Excellent communications skills
* Must be personable
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
* A sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Power Point
* Full clean driving licence and daily use of a car is preferable
ATTENDANCE AT MEETINGS
* Marketing meetings
* Other meetings as required
