Marketing Development Manager - Job Description
The main purpose of this role is to manage and deliver comprehensive marketing and business development support to the Customer Relationship Managers and Account Teams operating within one or more of the firm’s business sectors.
Core Responsibilities:
· Leading and managing the Client Planning processes within specific market sectors
· Developing and implementing Account Based Marketing programmes to support the achievement of business objectives at client, sector and firm level
· Co-ordinating and managing the firm’s response to Tenders, Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
· Involvement with the firm’s Business Area Planning processes
· Contribution to and involvement with the development and execution of the Corporate Marketing Plan
· Leading, managing and executing general marketing and communications projects where necessary in support of Marketing Team objectives.
· Maintaining the firm’s contact/CRM database
· Managing, supervising and coaching members of the Marketing Team as appropriate
Activities will include, but are not limited to:
· Strategy development and implementation
· The production of company and client specific collateral (including copywriting where appropriate)
· New product and service development
· Project management
· Research
· Event management
· Actively contributing to media relations activity
· Budget management
Person Specification:
· Graduate with marketing experience, working ideally in professional services, insurance related organisations, or suppliers to the insurance industry
· CIM qualified, preferably to Diploma level
· Key account management and Account Based Marketing experience would be advantageous
· Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategy
· Enthusiastic, keen and well organised - a team worker who is happy to roll up their sleeves to do whatever needs doing
· Proactive and creative - comfortable in coming forward with suggestions and ideas, keen to make a mark
· Ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
· Thorough, with excellent attention to detail
