Our client, one of the largest International law firms in the world, with over 20 International offices across Europe, Asia and the Americas have an opportunity to join the London HR team. This is a broad generalist role assisting the HR Manager in the provision of a pro-active HR service to support the effective management to over 300 staff. Working within the wider HR team you will be provided with excellent support and a positive working environment. Working closely with the HR Manager and members of the internal client groups you will ensure clear organisational structure, clear definition of roles and responsibilities and efficient deployment of staff. This will involve regular meetings with partners or managers who have particular responsibility for staffing matters. You will provide advice to staff on terms and conditions of employment and policies for the firm on employment related issues, advise on maternity, disciplinary, grievance, counselling and welfare issues and liaise with the Employment Department over employment law issues to ensure solutions to employment law issues and appropriate within the employment law context. You will attend regular meetings with secretarial coordinators and staffing partners to advise and find solutions for resourcing issues. Keep abreast of pay and benefits trends and assist with the salary review process and determining bonus payments. Supporting the training & development team your involvement will include assisting partners and managers with appraisals, assisting with the delivery of new trainee inductions and identifying training needs. You will advise on a number of generalist responsibilities including sickness absence, probations, performance management, international secondments and work experience placement. Graduate calibre candidates will have a minimum of two years advisor level experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
