Paralegal Training

A short intensive practical skills course providing students with confidence and the knowledge to work as a paralegal. Also helps to bridge the gap between academic study and practical experience.Over many years the course, has benefitted Graduates, undergraduates and many others from various backgrounds who have an interest in the Law.

- The practical training not only gives an insight into the Legal Profession but also the nature of the work you may be called upon to perform.
- It not only teaches you ‘how' to perform legal tasks, but also explains ‘why' you are performing them.
- You are awarded a certificate on completing the course, provided you pass the ‘Course Review Test' which can be taken at home.
- A one year Affiliate Membership of the National Association of Paralegals is included in the examination fee.

The course is accredited by the National Association of Paralegals (NAPL) which is the governing body for accredited paralegals in the country. The NAPL actively promotes ‘Career Paralegals' as a separate profession, and has done so since 1987. They hold qualifying examinations, provide seminars and run a number of courses including a Post Graduate Paralegal Practice Course, and a Legal Secretarial course.

AH Paralegal is run by Amanda Hamilton who worked as a solicitor for five years. She includes, within the structure of the course, case scenarios and examples from her own experiences together with the necessary tips and pointers to give her students confidence in an increasingly demanding and competitive market.

As well as organising courses and directing operations for AH Paralegal, Amanda is also one of the main tutors for the NAPL.
