Major diversified multinational manufacturer with 60,000 employees and customers in more than 125 countries now seeks a European Patent Attorney to join their head office based in Morges, Switzerland. Reporting to the Head of IP for EMEA, you will have considerable autonomy and will be expected to work in a broad range of activities relating to obtaining and maintaining intellectual property rights. Additionally, you will be expected to provide legal advice at the highest level for the EMEA businesses, to review and prepare a wide variety of contracts, and to provide advice with regard to a broad range of commercial activities.
The successful candidate will have a first degree in physics, electronics or mechanics, a European Patent Attorney qualification and at least 5 yrs (preferably) in-house experience. You will have a good basic knowledge of the IP laws and systems in major European and other countries, a commercial outlook and strong communication skills.
