A new opportunity has arisen for a pensions specialist within our Birmingham team. DLA Piper has a large team of pensions and benefits lawyers covering our UK and international offices and you will therefore be closely supported by this global group. Locally, our pensions team is expanding, both to increase our offering to existing clients and to support the ongoing growth of our business in this dynamic area of practice. The caseload will cover all aspects of pensions law, particularly advising trustees and employers on their powers and obligations, dealing with pensions aspects of mergers, acquisitions and outsourcing arrangements, interaction with the Pensions Regulator and PPF, handling Pensions Ombudsman complaints and drafting scheme documents. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in marketing and practice development work and be able to handle a high level of responsibility. Applications are invited from suitably qualified pensions specialists with experience gained in either a City practice or from a recognised regional player.
