Our pensions and employee benefits practice handles both contentious and non-contentious work. We act for employers with occupational pension and other employee benefit schemes, many with substantial memberships, as well as for trustees, employee benefit consultants and their insurers.
We are seeking a pensions lawyer with 3+ years’ experience to join our non-contentious pensions practice.
The role will involve advising both trustees and companies on all aspects of occupational pension schemes from day to day issues, such as the application of scheme rules, to one off events, such as the merger of two pension schemes.
Our pension teams works closely with our corporate department and it would be helpful if candidates had experience of advising on pensions issues arising on corporate transactions or corporate experience.
The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in pensions law. They will be proactive, with a desire for responsibility. You will be expected to market and develop the pensions practice. The successful candidate should enjoy genuine opportunities for career progression.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years’ plus experience of good quality pensions work, preferably gained in the City
Strong academic record
Sound intellect with proven ability to work creatively under pressure
Ability to give practical, clear advice
Good oral and written communication skills
Well organised and able to work to deadlines
Motivated and enthusiastic
Confident and robust personality
