JOB TITLE: Corporate & Commercial Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: NQ- 2 years
LOCATION: Peterborough (Commutable from: Ely, Cambridge, Thetford, Wisbech )
SALARY: Dependant on experience

THE ROLE:
Due to an increase in the number of instructions within the company commercial department, this expanding practice is looking to recruit a junior Corporate and Commercial Solicitor. You will be responsible for all aspects of corporate and commercial work including acquisitions, disposals and complex commercial contracts.

THE CANDIDATE:
You will have up to 2 years pqe in handling a mixture of corporate and commercial matters. Ideally you will have a connection to Peterborough and also have an interest or experience of franchise agreements. You will have a proven background of advising corporate organisations, small companies and medium enterprises.

Leading and managing the legal function this new role will support the Director of Corporate Services to ensure the provision of timely, cost effective, commercially focused legal advice to facilitate the achievement of the Group’s commercial objectives. The role has responsibility for the overall direction, control and leadership, including budgetary control, of the Legal function and operates within the Senior Management Team, providing strategic input and advising the Board as required.

A qualified solicitor or barrister currently working in-house and with a minimum of 7 years’ PQE you will have a proven track record of commercial legal work undertaken in a financial services environment.
