PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - CHINA - Job Description
Excellent opportunity within this leading global law firm for a Practice Development Manager in China.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing in Asia and the COO, The Practice Development Manager will be responsible for all marketing and business development related activities for the Firm in China and will work closely with the partners and lawyers based in China to expand the business opportunities of the Firm.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting the China partners and lawyers in setting objectives for the Firm by providing short to long term strategic planning, business analysis, and identification of trends and opportunities.
• Driving the development of annual business plans for the China offices, and facilitate and oversee the implementation of the short- and long-term goals.
• Identifying and selecting key clients and focus the Firm’s efforts in China through the development and implementation of client account plans.
• Identifying and developing new client leads, new assignments from existing clients, and foster cross-selling efforts among the Firm’s existing client base for both inbound and outbound China work.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a business development role and an in-depth understanding of the business and legal markets in China. The candidate will be a graduate with excellent oral and written communications skills (both Chinese and English). Other requirements include:
 Good systems and database skills
 Project management experience
 Team player who is committed, flexible and enthusiastic
 Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
