Prime Brokerage/Securities Lending Lawyer - 8 Months - Job Description
Our client seeks a lawyer to join the Global Prime Finance Legal team for an 8 month maternity cover. You will support the Global Prime Finance business which includes prime brokerage, securities lending, synthetic financing and futures trading, the Cash Equities Business including direct market access (electronic trading) and third party brokerage relations and Network Management.
You will be responsible for providing legal advice and supervising more junior members of the team,
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of collateral arrangements (e.g. netting, security interests) and trust and custody law. You will have gained experience with a City law firm (preferably Magic Circle) or ideally in an investment bank. Good interpersonal and communication skills essential.
