Our client, a global financial services organisation, is seeking a lawyer to join their legal team in London to provide support to their real estate private equity group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Ideally you will have three to five years’ relevant pqe with experience in the following areas:
• Private equity/private company M&A transactions both domestic and cross border (experience in real estate investments would be an advantage);
• Public company takeovers and acquisitions of non-controlling stakes;
• Familiarity with relevant legislation including, in particular, the Companies Act, the City Code, FSMA, COBS 4 and Part V of the Criminal Justice Act; and
• Familiarity with US securities laws (including the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940) and EU competition law would be helpful.
