Product Development Governance

Our client is one of the UK's leading wealth managers. They are looking for a Product Development Governance. This is a global role and will require the candidate to interact with stakeholders in multiple locations at different levels in the organisation.

Your responsibilities may include:
- Co-ordinating the Global New Products Value and Viability Assessment (PVVA) as well as perform key I&PO contact point for issues arising through New Product Sign-Off (NPSO) process
- Co-ordinating/Running the I&PO Product Risk Forum for risk rating products sold to the mass-affluent and affluent segments as well as review and approve Product Risk Rating processes applicable in other global I&PO platforms
- Co-ordinating the I&PO Investment Content Committee for reviewing the investment content and structure of more complex products proposed for launch across global I&PO platforms
- Working with I&PO Product Development, I&PO front office segment leaders and the companies Infrastructure areas to help resolve product-related issues
- Reviewing proposed I&PO new products and changes to the existing product set and providing recommendations on the level of sanctioning approval necessary
- Driving the continuous improvement of PVVA, I&PO Product Review Board, I&PO Product Risk Forum and the companies NPSO process
- MI and reporting to I&PO Senior Management and I&PO Product Review Board on product development achievements

As a successful candidate you will have strong intellectual skills evidenced by good results in a top-ranked University degree-level education and professional qualifications e.g. in accountancy, law or tax are desirable although not a pre-requisite.

You will ideally have substantial experience within the financial services sector both from a regulatory and product perspective. You should also have team and/or project management leadership experience with reporting to senior boards or MDs.
Product Development or Product Risk/control-orientated background in a financial services environment with proven track record of delivery would be highly advantageous.

You will preferably have experience gained in managing a similar process in more than one of the following business segments - capital markets, private banking, international banking, stock broking, investment / asset management , corporate banking and you should also be able to demonstrate ability in managing control processes appropriate for a Private Wealth Management business.
