With a strong agenda for growth, we work in an open, dynamic environment with little hierarchy where our people are encouraged to take on as much responsibility as they are ready whilst receiving the support they need to develop both their professional and their commercial skills.

The group is part of the firm’s wider Insurance department, but is focused entirely on construction, and is targeted at three sectors:
Sector 1: Construction work for developers, banks, contractors and professionals including contract drafting and PFI. This area accounts for 10% of the practice and is growing rapidly.
Sector 2: Contentious construction work for major contractors involving both defects and financial disputes, loss and expense/delay claims, live contract advice and adjudication. Accounts for 25% of the practice.
Sector 3: Insurance (professional indemnity for architects, engineers, surveyors and contractors, plus other construction-based risks, such as contractors’ all risks, public liability policies, latent defects and project insurance). Accounts for 65% of the practice.
The department has a well-established client base consisting of major London Market insurers. The need to recruit has arisen due to an increase in instructions.
