Qualified Assistant
Qualified Assistant - Job Description
Background / Role:
We require a Construction/Projects Solicitor with 2-3 PQE to join a new, dynamic team lead by Hamish Lal. Some experience of the PFI sector and construction agreements is required. Commercial awareness and any prior experience of adjudications is also preferred.
The role offers the opportunity of front line exposure in working with excellent, blue-chip clients. A good example here is recently won work in relation to the Thames Medway tunnel project.
The mix of work is roughly 70/30, 70% being non-contentious (projects based work cantered around NEC3 contract, PFI contracts and some real estate work) and 30% contentious work.
Skills Required:
Candidates should have a “can-do” attitude and welcome the opportunity to work in a challenging environment which supports self development. Teamwork is an important ingredient to achieving success.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, articulate and thrive on responsibility.
Whilst relevant experience is important we are open to candidates who have limited exposure but show high potential. The ideal person will recognise this opening as real opportunity.
