Real Estate Assistants/Associates, Dubai

DLA Piper opened for business in Dubai last year and since then has grown to become a substantial player in the Dubai market. Our Dubai office forms a hub for our Middle Eastern offering which, in addition to Dubai, currently comprises a DLA Piper branded office in Oman and a JV in Saudi Arabia and which will soon see an new branded office in Abu Dhabi and then Qatar. Our Dubai office itself will shortly comprise 12 partners and with approaching 70 people in total has been extremely busy from inception.

One of the key areas targeted for particular growth in the office, and by the Group concerned, is Real Estate. At present we have one dedicated transactional real estate lawyer (a former partner from SJ Berwin) plus a number of assistants/associates together with a number of very senior projects/construction lawyers working on some of the highest profile work in the region. In relation to transactional work we are looking both locally and further afield for transactional real estate lawyers at assistant and associate level looking either to move within the region or possibly looking to move there from a Commonwealth jurisdiction. Dubai has been earmarked by the firm as one of the growth centres for Real Estate work.
