Real Estate Team Leader - Job Description
Giambrone Law LLP is a broad-based, progressive and modern law firm with a strong team of solicitors and European lawyers and a reputation for delivering high calibre legal services.
We currently have a requirement for a Team Leader based in London who will be multi-skilled and capable of working on different processes - ultimately to supervise a team of Legal Assistants providing administrative support in connection with Commercial and Residential Property transactions. The role will report to the Head of Real Estate
Duties are varied and include the following:
• To effectively supervise the work of the Legal Assistant Team on a day to day basis
• ensure that all incoming work is logged in accordance with agreed procedures
• ensure fee earners give clear instructions and identify required deadlines when delegating work
• ensure that all incoming work is distributed in a timely and efficient way and that required deadlines and instructions are clearly communicated to the team
• to induct new starters into the team and provide them with the necessary training, support & guidance at each stage of the Induction Programme
• To effectively manage fee earner expectations by monitoring the quality of the work generated by the team
• check drafted documents and correspondence produced by the legal assistants before they are submitted back to the fee earner for approval
• offer support and guidance to team members on technical/legal issues of both new and existing work
General Supervisory Responsibilities
• proactively meet with the Head of Real Estate on a regular basis to discuss issues relating to workflow and staff performance
• report any urgent problems or complaints to the Head of Real Estate as they arise by means of email or phone
• to act as "salesperson" for the team, effectively communicating with users of the service across all our offices to educate them of the support that is available from the legal assistants.
• maintain a positive approach whilst supervising the team, challenging negative behaviour where appropriate
