Regional Business Development Manager Accountancy Firm - Job Description

This challenging role will encompass the development and implementation of new business development and existing business development activity across the Southern region.

The role will be instrumental in working with the regional marketing and business development team and Partners to ensure we retain our existing clients and maximise our fees from cross-working opportunities and increase fees by acquiring new clients of the right quality.

Principle Accountabilities:

§ Develop the marketing & BD strategy for the regions larger corporate market and audit service line and sector groups.
§ Manage the regional targeting programmes, including any external agencies used.
§ Identify new client or market targeting opportunities, recommend new BD ideas and suitable actions and work with Partners and BD team responsible to make them happen
§ Manage and take overall responsibility for the regions sales and pipeline management information, reporting to the RMM and RMP on sales activity
§ Focusing on high value opportunities across the region and using the firm's bid management methodology with the proposal teams, you will:

- Work with team to develop and execute the proposal strategy
- Ensure that the firm’s propositions to clients are focussed on the client’s specific needs Organise the pitch team into appropriate roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure each pitch follows best practice methodology in full.
- Manage effective process for site visits, research and de-brief meetings.
- Organise effective communications with all staff involved during and after the pitch process.
- Manage the content and production of proposal documents according to corporate style.
- Coach and rehearse partners and staff on their roles and in preparation for client-facing situations within the pitch process

§ Manage the client proposal feedback programme and provide feedback trend analysis into the business as well as provide tactical advice and guidance to partners and proposal teams based on client feedback
§ Assist in the project management of a client relationship management programme.
§ Identify cross-selling opportunities and act as an internal cross-selling champion.
§ Develop, maintain and report on a focused client care programme for major clients
§ Work with the Regional Market Analyst to develop client satisfaction measurement tools and analysis. Analyse the client base in order to gain a clear understanding of relative values and potential opportunities and weaknesses and develop plans to maximise/reduce as appropriate.
§ Develop methodologies and support mechanisms to maintain and develop new business development materials
§ Contribute to the development and training of other members of the BD and marketing team.
§ Assist with National and Regional Marketing projects as required by the Regional Marketing Manager.
