Our client is a leading Asia Pacific industrial business group that has business interests in the resource based industries and assets valued in excess of US$8 billion. The group has operations and offices in many places including Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Brazil. They are now seeking and additional lawyer to join the Hong Kong legal team to:
•Assist the Department Head on legal matters for the Group.
•Review, draft and negotiate finance and corporate/commercial agreements.
•Advise on operational legal affairs in Greater China.
•Administer corporate governance, legal compliance and internal policies.
The ideal candidate will be:
•Qualified to practice in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdictions.
•At least 5 – 8 years PQE gained in major law firms, ideally with some in-house experience.
•Knowledgeable in banking documentation, including ISDA Master Agreement.
•Effective communication skills in both English and Chinese.
•Sharp analytical skills.
•Able to work under pressure.
