Exciting new opportunity at City based US law firm who are recruiting for an experienced secretarial services manager to cover maternity leave for 12 months. You will be responsible for the management of over 60 members of the secretarial and document production team. The role encompasses strategic development of both of these departments in line with the needs of the business. Your duties will include all recruitment, staff management and training for legal secretaries, DP operators, and general office staff as well as presenting proposals for change and improvement to the executive committee. You will also oversee projects including reviewing new technologies, all HR functions relating to your area of responsibility and financial and statistical reporting relating to budgets and salary and bonus recommendations. Strong people management and interpersonal skills are essential for this role with prior managerial experience in a law firm, a professional services or investment banking background preferred.
