Secretary - Job Description

Overview
The Claims Validation Team is part of the Injury Risk Group and deals with potentially fraudulent claims with a focus on motor/employer’s liability/public liability work.

The type of work includes:-

Minimal Impact Cases – Low Speed/Significant Trauma Cases
Staged Cases – Semi and Staged – motor/EL/PL
Contrived Cases – Motor/EL/PL
Ringed Frauds
Phantom Passengers – Motor Only
Grossly Exaggerated Claims – both claims/costs

Role
As secretary to the team you will be responsible for secretarial and administration duties for allocated fee earners at a specialist level.

Key responsibilities and requirements:-

• Arrange meetings, for both internal and external attendees
• Answer calls on behalf of colleagues
• Providing secretarial and administrative support to allocated fee earners who may be based at home or other Beachcroft locations
• Collating information to send to clients i.e. copying, faxes and enclosures to letters and reports to clients
• Digital dictation (Winscribe)
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to use own initiative
• Excellent audio-typing and keyboard skills


This is a growing team looking for someone who is a strong team player and ready to take on the growing responsibility associated with this role.

Person
You will have a typing audio speed of 65 wpm minimum with a high level of accuracy in typing and preparation of documentation for sending to clients, as well as confident in dealing with clients.

You will be an organised individual with experience in diary management and intermediate experience of Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel.

Within this role you will be able to prioritise your own workload, with good time management skills and be able to remain calm under pressure, whilst being an enthusiastic individual who will demonstrate a flexible and committed attitude

You will ideally have 2 years+ secretarial experience in either personal injury or insurance fraud work and have 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English language.
