Senior Associate - Commercial & Regulatory - Information Technology - Sydney

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Senior Associate, with solid Information Technology experience to join the Commercial and Regulatory, Information Technology Group within our Sydney office.

The Commercial and Regulatory, Information Technology Group acts for a variety of high profile clients within the technology and telecommunications sectors and from a range of other industries including aviation, financial services and broadcasting. This Group works closely with our Corporate team on a range of major mergers, acquisitions and other transactions.

The Group regularly advises clients on:

- joint ventures and strategic alliances
- e-commerce
- systems integration
- international education and research collaboration
- technology for mergers, acquisitions and floats
- online security and privacy
- regulation and compliance
- outsourcing
- procurement strategies and major supply contracts, and
technology development, licensing and commercialisation.

An essential component of the position will be your ability to work with the firm's major clients and other practice groups to provide high level specialist advice and innovative solutions.

We welcome applications from lawyers with strong technical expertise and 5+ years post qualification experience. A commercial approach, high-level communication skills and the ability to develop strong client relationships are essential to this position as is the ability to work within a team environment. An innovative and creative approach to legal problem solving is also highly regarded within this cohesive team.
